Who we are

This website, hutchmedia.group, is published by Hutch Media Group Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 11728407, with its registered office at 160 Kemp House, City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@hutchmedia.group.

What data we collect

We keep this deliberately minimal. This site does not use cookies or browser storage, and does not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. We collect personal data in two ways.

If you request the free AI checklist. The form asks for your name, your email address, the type of business you run, the size of your team, why you are looking at AI, and, optionally, your business name and a description of what you are trying to solve. We also record whether you ticked the box allowing us to contact you. Everything you type into the free-text answer is passed to us, so please do not include sensitive personal information there.

If you email us. We will hold your email address, name (if given) and the content of your message.

When you visit any page, our hosting provider receives your IP address and basic request details such as the page requested, your browser type and the time. When you submit the checklist form, we also use your IP address briefly to limit repeated or automated submissions. That check is held in temporary server memory only and is not stored by us.

Why we use your data, and our legal basis

• To give you the checklist and to understand what businesses are looking for help with: our legitimate interests in running and improving our business. The checklist itself is shown on screen straight after you submit the form.
• To contact you about what you told us in the form: your consent, which you give by ticking the box. If you do not tick it, we do not contact you about your answers. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, and doing so does not affect anything we did before.
• To reply to emails you send us and keep a record of the correspondence: our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and keeping records.
• To keep the site secure and running, and to prevent spam and abuse: our legitimate interests.

We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell, rent or share your data for marketing purposes, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Who we share your data with

These providers process personal data on our behalf:

• Vercel Inc. hosts this website and runs the small program that receives the checklist form. It sees visitor IP addresses and the form submission as it passes through. We do not keep form submissions in a database.
• Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) delivers each checklist submission to our inbox as an email. It handles the content of the submission while doing so and keeps its own delivery records for a limited period.
• Google (Google Workspace or Gmail) hosts the hello@hutchmedia.group mailbox, where checklist submissions and your emails are held.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site. Loading a font may cause your browser to send your IP address to Google's servers as part of that request. We do not control this data flow beyond choosing the font, and it is subject to Google's own privacy policy.

We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it.

Transfers outside the UK

Vercel and Resend are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred there. Both are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, and both use standard contractual clauses in their data processing terms, which provide the safeguards UK law requires for these transfers. Google processes mailbox data under its own data processing terms, which include the safeguards required for international transfers.

How long we keep your data

• Checklist submissions: up to 12 months, then deleted, unless we are in conversation with you or working together, in which case they become part of the correspondence below.
• Emails and correspondence: up to 12 months after our last contact. If we work together, we keep the records we need for accounting and legal purposes, which is usually six years.
• Hosting and security logs held by Vercel and Resend: for the periods those providers set, which we do not control.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to ask us to restrict how we use it, to object to how we use it, and to ask for a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@hutchmedia.group. Giving us your details is optional, but we need the required fields on the checklist form in order to process the request.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first at hello@hutchmedia.group. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond without undue delay. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
